As with the historical geschwader, virtual JG-1 is composed of an squadron integrated GeschwaderStab (wing command) leading three semi-autonomous Jagdstaffeln (fighter squadrons). Each Jagdstaffel handles its own day-to-day operations, relying on the GeschwaderStab for administrative purposes.
