As with the historical geschwader, virtual JG Nr. I is composed of a Stabsoffizier der Flieger (Stofl – wing command) leading four semi-autonomous Jagdstaffeln (Jastas – fighter squadrons). Each Jagdstaffel handles its own day-to-day operations, relying on the Stofl for administrative purposes.
